And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
—Ephesians 4:23 (KJV)
Day 5: #40DaysOfReflections
I woke early and strangely heavy. I rose and sat watching a dim overcast dawn, allowing the completion of night time dreams that called for understanding and forgiveness. When Chris came in at 7am a wellspring of emotions tumbled forth cleansing the wretched weight.
Gravel in the pipes I realized. With so much flowing through with this 40-Days a couple of boulders had been dislodged. So used to waking up buoyant I had felt discombobulated as the download for the day usually gushes through. Together we rolled back the rock. I still felt “tired.” Symbolically I put down my ready bucket and closed my computer.
Chris had actually come in to invite me down to the natural hot spring which had been unusable for a while. He shared that someone had cleared the debris and dug the previously shallow pool so that it was now the perfect place for me. The little boiling river rises in a field near the house just a short stroll away.

Refresh in the Spirit: Instagram story from @sarahstclaire
I was about to decline still feeling empty when the instagram story I had posted at 4am started to play on his phone with water lapping the shore …
Eureka! Suddenly I realized what I had been hearing all morning:
Refresh in the Spirit, be renewed in eternal waters
I had just turned it into a meme and forgotten about it! All tiredness dissappeared!
Wow yes this was definitely what the Spirit had in store for me—going to the Source as always, not in words today but pure Presence and care, under Christ control. It even tried to let me know early… I had “conformed to this world” by my own expectation of how the day would happen. And yet it unfolded perfectly as it was always going to. Even the proceeding purification of doubt thoughts was met with absolute confirmation.
12. Only the Holy Spirit knows what you need. ²For He will give you all things that do not block the way to light. ³And what else could you need? ⁴In time, He gives you all the things that you need have, and will renew them as long as you have need of them. ⁵He will take nothing from you as long as you have any need of it. ⁶And yet He knows that everything you need is temporary, and will but last until you step aside from all your needs and realize that all of them have been fulfilled. ⁷Therefore He has no investment in the things that He supplies, except to make certain that you will not use them on behalf of lingering in time. ⁸He knows that you are not at home there, and He wills no delay to wait upon your joyous homecoming. —ACIM (T-13.VII.12:1-8)
A fun flip flop walk through the snow, to soak and renew for an hour or two. We made this little video to extend the vibe. Below are some sweet quotes to renew faith in where you’re Sourced even in a millisecond when it may be unseen.
Love, Sarah
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
—Romans 12:2 (KJV)
3. The peace of God is shining in you now, and from your heart extends around the world. ²It pauses to caress each living thing, and leaves a blessing with it that remains forever and forever. ³What it gives must be eternal. ⁴It removes all thoughts of the ephemeral and valueless. ⁵It brings renewal to all tired hearts, and lights all vision as it passes by. ⁶All of its gifts are given everyone, and everyone unites in giving thanks to you who give, and you who have received. —ACIM (W-188.3:1-6)
1. God is with me. ²He is my Source of life, the life within, the air I breathe, the food by which I am sustained, the water which renews and cleanses me. ³He is my home, wherein I live and move; the Spirit which directs my actions, offers me Its Thoughts, and guarantees my safety from all pain. ⁴He covers me with kindness and with care, and holds in love the Son He shines upon, who also shines on Him. ⁵How still is he who knows the truth of what He speaks today! —ACIM (W-222.1:1-5)
