Disclosure Day Spiritual Movie Review
In this article I am not encouraging you to notice the error and then forgive it. I am illuminating a mechanism in the mind that reads just close enough to miracles and mysticism as to be confusing. I felt to confront in this writing many topics that I have noticed the mind shying away from exposing… after all this is disclosure day and this is a safe space to explore wide ranging topics openly to discover how do we feel?
Disclosure Day film Review
Excellent acting, woeful script and scattered storytelling leaves this Spielberg fan reeling with surprise!
Mind control is not true empathy. In a determinedly dogged movie Steven Spielberg doesn’t entice us with fuzzy feelings, or cute aliens luminous in the Light of Awareness. Instead this is a full frontal, might is right, mind take over that reeks of false empathy, coercion and control. The movie has little time or tolerance for the voluntary nature of opening to new knowledge, and like the abducted children—now traumatized adults —has little care or compassion for the violent disclosure it aims to foist upon its audience.
At best it is a puff piece of coercion on behalf of a new overlord system, and at worst it is “propaganda” aimed at using false empathy, survivors guilt and outright shame to evoke a new “right” wing democratic perspective. It can barely contain it’s sacrilege for gloating about it’s own media savvy self, while tossing beloved symbols on a heretic pyre of Christian mysticism and monastic devotion.
For those of you who believe in fairy tales, but not in goblins here the seeming “ghost in the machine,” the “wolf in granny’s clothing,” the hostage versus the host to God, is hanging out in Hansel and Gretel’s cottage a well know pedophile adrenochrome containment unit more associated with wicked witches than wisdom keepers. Now you may be shocked at my speaking of this type of conspiracy theory but as this is… disclosure day I felt to call-out and address the conflicting symbolism the movie deploys, rather than validate the stories.
I believe movie making to be a highly effective mind opener, often presenting new information in a familiar field. Yet when the contrivance contorts symbols that have been used for profound effect over millennia to reinforce a sense of safety in the mind, I feel it is important to also denote when they are now being used in a new manner, for a different purpose. I see this movie as quite a departure. And I feel it is so significant that I have let the reflections flow here, as if we were sitting fresh after viewing.
Bizarrely the alien abduction / Disney indoctrination exemplifies not a single ounce of presence or wisdom. There is no meeting of the minds like in Close Encounters of the Third kind or voluntary collaboration as in ET. Here our singing little Snow White did not call out in anguish at the distressing nature of her situation before being comforted by woodland creatures. “Someday my prince will come…” Is not a call for clarity. And possession will never pass for presence.
Higher Intelligence, Mysticism, and Alien Life
Remember higher intelligence does not necessarily signify wisdom. Here it is clearly depicted as entitled superiority harnessed with a pathetic attempt at a new grab for religious power via outdated media and old cliched collusion. But never mind that—the movie implores us to “keep sweet” no longer pray, just obey! It desires that we feel horrified and ashamed of our governments mistreatment of lost aliens from Roswell right through to present times. To be outraged that they stole and misused alien technology, and to be intolerant of our xenaphobia and lack of empathy for the visually frightening aliens which the movie gives us not one reason to Love!
The Truth is this is
a benevolent universe
a wake-up world,
and a call for Love!
~ Sarah, This Mystic Life PODCAST
This movie can be helpful as a flusher when you can pause and reflect on it’s components and the discussion topics it evokes. We did not find it entertaining. It is strangely overt, yet deceptive in it’s objective and decisive in its messaging. I trust that all benevolent beings amongst us are roiling their very large eyes at this Hollywood horror story. This feels like a last gasp grab to take the Comfort of God from us. Time to wake-up and smell the man made manipulation disguised as “open mindedness” and “mystery.” Time to remember to laugh!
You are an idea in the Mind of God, and under no laws but God’s. Your identity as a Child of God is sovereign, and questioning everything is encouraged. You can’t overcome the “authority problem” with subservience, that maintains it! Remember you did not create YOURSELF. Your inheritance cannot change.
When you have an authority problem,
it is always because you believe you are the author of yourself
and project your delusion onto others.
You then perceive the situation as one in which others
are literally fighting you for your authorship.
This is the fundamental error of all those
who believe they have usurped the power of God.
—A Course in Miracles (T-3.VI.8:1-4)

Below is A Course in Miracles share for clarity and comfort.
The temptation to perceive an enemy
Forget not that the choice of
sin or truth,
helplessness or power,
is the choice of whether to attack or heal.
For healing comes of power,
and attack of helplessness.
—ACIM, (T-21.VII)
1/ Do I desire a world I rule instead of one that rules me?
2/ Do I desire a world where I am powerful instead of helpless?
3/ Do I desire a world in which I have no enemies and cannot sin?
4/ And do I want to see what I denied because it is the truth?
—ACIM, (T-21.VII.5:11-14)
Why is the final question so important? ²Reason will tell you why. ³It is the same as are the other three, except in time.⁴The others are decisions that can be made, and then unmade and made again. ⁵But truth is constant, and implies a state where vacillations are impossible. ⁶You can desire a world you rule that rules you not, and change your mind. ⁷You can desire to exchange your helplessness for power, and lose this same desire as a little glint of sin attracts you. ⁸And you can want to see a sinless world, and let an “enemy” tempt you to use the body’s eyes and change what you desire. —ACIM, (T-21.VII.10:1-8)
Disclosure Day Spiritual Meaning Explained
This movie’s meaning requires discernment because it contains the seeds of a new source of guilt—the hatred is ancient yet if you perceive a world of sin you can be tempted with a new “enemy.” And with Spielberg’s latest movie Disclosure Day this enemy is not the aliens! The implied enemy of the misunderstood yet innocent extra terrestrials is you!!!!
So discernment is needed for as “you” embrace this story of a superior race adept at mind control and manipulation who have traumatized human children, and robbed them of childhood. Attentiveness is required as you listen to this tale of those it chastises for feeling scared as a result, and responding as terrorized children do by hurting and harming and secreting and stealing. The film then proceeds to expose “them” for their actions instead of querying their disquiet. It feels like the aim of the film is so “you” will begin another round of vivisection—this time on the Spirit of the people.
This movie poses a pertinent question:
Who are the children of God?
I feel this movie is devoid of any real presence. You could read in a spiritual significance but it is far more elucidating to watch the hard sell. Beyond that it activates a new mechanism of judgement and increases incongruence by denying an authentic experience of the characters and the audience. We are asked to feel false empathy for the captured aliens who had their tech stolen, instead of noticing or acknowledging how we actually feel? It is this emotional override in our current culture I am highlighting—as it can be very destructive—effectively silencing salient discourse.
It has been deployed for a number of years now under the guise of us being a “modern human” and a welcoming “child of the universe.” In this psy-op of a movie, we are once more asked to suppress how we feel in favor of the greater victimhood of the “other.” This other whether it be a different culture, race, or creed is deemed so demoralized that we must disenfranchise our authentic feelings in response to “it’s” greater need to be who and what it is. Sound familiar? This superior supposition then denies the humanity on both sides (which is inherently flawed) and demands a response that is not measured or open minded, but maligned, and manufactured.
This is the final fracturing of any integrated sense of self and firmly foists a new “favorite” on the world that must be adored and appreciated in flagrant disregard for what came before. Every cultural shift and religious schism has deployed this genocide conveying on one side “victimhood” and on the other “evil” and wrong doing. Both positions are a lie, though the maya may momentarily occupy this threshold as the mind expresses its inherent conflicting desires.
Yet If we also simultaneously disempower the experiential nature of the mind we will loose access to the path of peace. In A Course in Miracles the real test of truth is “How do you feel?” This will tell you with Whom you are looking!
“Trying” to pretend to be open—while suppressing intense fear, and self hatred—does not breed better bedfellows. It instead creates a new class system where those who have fluctuating feelings are blamed and demoralized for expressing the conflict, and then systematically denied avenues through which they can discover the underpinnings of this fear by exposing the unquestioned beliefs in the mind and conflicting desires to exist and also be seen to be “kind.”
This is and has always been the game of self deception, only now we are playing with “new characters,” seemingly more advanced than us, that we must immediately bow our inferior intellect to, and LISTEN.
Yet to listen to anything without acknowledging the disquiet we feel is not acquiescing to a higher authority it is a subjugation that leaves us at war with ourselves!
Perhaps even this could still be seen as a blessing if it allowed us to take back the “projection that makes perception” but without that underlying fear and hatred and hurt being allowed, and witnessed to in a benevolent way, we are set against ourselves once more. Only now we are no longer allowed to even privately express our concerns as they are sanctioned, and deemed a danger!
Remember discovery is an exploration of the landscape in which you find yourself. Anthropology is an assessment of the relationships and dynamics within that environment. Geology is the dissection of that landscape and art is a description of how that set and setting appears to make “you,” the observer feel!
Without reflection upon the content of your experience the form will appear to shift and fluctuate and grow monstrous. Despots will arise and countries will fall and the failure will not be in might or right, but in the fundamental forgetting of Truth and where power truly lives.
Do not disable yourself now with a fearful desire to conform to a new norm of shame and blame. Do not become intolerant to your own misgivings. Rather become increasingly interested in the incongruence between your experience and your performative functioning.
Notice the lies you tell yourself, and the lacquered layers of complexity and self concept you quietly defend while being outraged on behalf of others. Be not afraid—Who You Are will tell / teach you if Itself. Yet you must remain open to the last unanswered question: Do I want to see what I have denied because it is the truth?
This is Disclosure Day and it warrants open-hearted discussion, not deference to a new deity!
P.S. I may write more on St. Clare and the hilarious hijack of christian mysticism as “alien parlor tricks” in watching mass from her 1300’s sickbed in my next installment, but for now ~ au revoir!
————————————
I do not recommend watching this movie it in the cinema – it is convoluted and offers no clarity or Presence. It is at best a flusher that serves as a conversation starter about faith, fear and “Who are God’s Children?” Mysticism is not mind control it is a voluntary, invited shared experience. If you feel drawn—wait until you can pause it and be present with how you feel.
