40-Days of Reflection on Christ Presence

This Mystic Life is an unwinding from all misunderstandings that we may have about the world, and our relationship to it by seeing the golden thread of Truth in all teachings. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5) KJV

Join me for day by day for 40-days and 40-nights as we rest in contemplation and prayer!

Western culture is founded in Judaeo-Christian faith and so is inseparable from our learnt understanding of ourselves “as people.” Lent is a religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar commemorating the 40-days Jesus spent fasting in the desert and facing temptation by Satan, according to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, before beginning his public ministry. This year it falls from: Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2023 to Thursday, April 6th 2023.

DAY 1: Ash Wednesday and The Imitation of Christ

We must loose all imitation of “selves.” All the self-concepts of person’s good or bad, saints or sinners in favor of pure Presence. The mask that was revealed today was that “a man” was tempted in a desert instead of the mind being tempted into having the delusion of a separate will and a separate value.

DAY 2 : Washing Christ’s Feet

Jesus washes Judas’ feet. We are invited to Accept our belonging in Christ no matter our seeming circumstance. Let Jesus in the Bible and ACIM wash away all doubt in our worthiness!

DAY 3 : Chocolat for Lent

There is great delight in being met intimately through what we are already attracted to. The Spirit loves “happy learners.” So when we enter #Lent which seems to be synonymous with sacrifice, it is important to understand the difference between the idea of loss & suffering, Vs voluntary relinquishment for joy.

DAY 4 : Remembering OurSelf as Christ

The “blocks to the awareness of loves presence” are not “real things” in our personality, or in the world we must overcome / heal. They are misunderstandings in the mind about “whom we are” as we watch the adventures of forgiveness play-out for the character on the screen.

DAY 5 : Renew

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. —Romans 12:2 (KJV)

DAY 6 : Elders

We need to hear from those who have come out the other side of life. Who though they may still be going through healing are courageous and transparent enough to share those current life lessons from a potent point of realization, now. A Miracle share.

DAY 7 : Silence and Trust

“Their silence is the sign that they have beheld God’s Son, and in the Presence of Christ they need demonstrate nothing, for Christ speaks to them of Himself and of His Father.” —ACIM

DAY 8 : Aspire

Why do we believe any change upon the screen would relieve suffering? When every mirrored image is a communication, and not a cause! Imagine wanting to alter a mirror that accurately reflects the conflicting beliefs and desires in the mind?

DAY 9 : Beatitude for my Brother

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace… —Isaiah 52:7 (KJV)

DAY 10: ASK

This is our role as Miracle workers, to Accept the atonement for ourselves by ASKING the Holy Spirit for help to lift the condemnation in the mind that brings fear of release. So that in One Holy instant, one moment free of fear we may rejoin our Brother Jesus, in Christ.

DAY 11 : This Way

I know you are tired but come, this is the Way. —Rumi

DAY 12 : Invulnerable

Only God is Cause, and Christ is His effect! Each moment becomes a Holy Instant of release, where pardon for perception offers innocence and peace. Each millisecond an Epiphany, of freedom from all possible harm of false cause and effect.

DAY 13 : Walking Together

All things work together for good, despite missteps and misunderstandings along the Way…

DAY 14 : Gentleness

Resting in Innocence

Day 15: Pearls Before Swine

“God does not teach. To teach is to imply a lack, which God knows is not there.” —A Course in Miracles

Day 16: Conversion

“Teaching is but a call to witnesses to attest to what you believe. It is a method of conversion.” —ACIM

Day 17: Miracles Attest

“Miracles are the instants of release you offer, and will receive. They attest to your willingness to be released, and to offer time to the Holy Spirit for His use of it.” —A Course in Miracles

Day 18: Grey

Grey? But I don’t believe in grey anymore…

UNFORTUNATELY due to ongoing site hosting errors I have not been able to share on This Mystic Life all the reflections (articles) that have continued to come through each day. My feeling is that I am to simply yield to this 40-Day retreat I am experiencing—extending in mind, and return to any “public” sharing later when Guided. I haven’t even had access until now to clarify this. 🙂
